Our Staff Attend two day workshop MSC NASTRAN Nonlinear Analysis

Two of our Design & Analysis Engineers (Dharam & Dan) have just completed a two day course at MSC Frimley Offices on Non Liniear Analysis:

This training is designed to give the user an introduction in to MSC Software's Nonlinear solution, sol400. The training introduced general nonlinear strategies, large displacement, geometric nonlinearities, the use of contact in linear and nonlinear solutions and material nonlinearity.

The training consisted of a mix of lectures and hands-on workshops.

Below is a brief description of the topics:

MSC Nastran Sol 400
♦ Overview of Implicit Nonlinear Analysis.
♦ Sources of Nonlinearities and Nonlinear Strategies.

Geometric Nonlinearities
♦ Large Displacement Effects.

Contact Analysis
♦ Defining Contact Bodies and contaact body interactions.
♦ Contact Analysis in the linear soluation.
♦ Contact Analysis in Sol 400.

Material Nonlinearities
♦ Large Strain Elastic-Plastic Analysis.
♦ Nonlinear Elastic Analysis.
♦ Hyperelastic Materials.
♦ Composites in nonlinear analysis and going beyond first ply failure.
