Frewer Engineering’s Advanced Composites Division was set up in 2018 to satisfy a growing demand for a requirement to design and analyse lightweight composite structures for the Aerospace, Nuclear, Marine, Defence and Automotive industries. Our multi-disciplined engineering team has been built to combine the skill-sets of experienced composites engineers from the worlds of Formula One, aerospace and marine and match them with those of younger generation of MEng and BEng graduates equipped with knowledge of the latest academic research and software toolsets.
By investing in the very latest analysis software tools from MSC including NASTRAN, PATRAN and DIGIMAT as well as Anaglyph’s CoDA composite design tool, the Advanced Composites Division offers customers complete turn-key solutions including concept design, laminate stack creation and optimisation, finite element structural analysis and component detailing for manufacture.
The Advanced Composites Division seamlessly integrates with Frewer’s Advanced Engineering and Advanced Analysis & CFD Divisions, frequently joining forces to offer customers a holistic solution for projects that require cross-Divisional expertise.
The Advanced Composites Division adopts the latest up to date versions of the software packages listed below. This list is not exhaustive but includes the main software packages currently in use. Additionally, Frewer Engineering’s agile response to customer requirements includes the implementation of specific software packages or versions where required.
