Turnkey Design

The combination of our design and structural analysis services with composite structures and CFD capabilities is extremely popular with our customers.

Being able to resource a complete turnkey design package under one roof continues to appeal to our customers across the complete range of industries we service.

Our CFD Analysis Service

CFD Plot of car in flow

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis is proving to be of extreme interest to our clients. Recent investment in computing power and software is allowing us to tackle larger projects.

Aero-engine Gas Turbine Development Design Update

With the addition of Dr Richard Lock to our team, we have bolstered up our gas turbine development design service. Richard who is based in Manchester looks after our client base on location and is proving to be essential in aiding communications on large scale engineering design projects in this field. Challenging projects in the field of future combustion development and large scale aero-engine development remain very active.

Submersible Marine Structures

CFD capabilities coupled with extensive composite design and analysis experience is allowing us to tune submarine excrescences for stiffness, noise and a variety of performance driven attributes. We have recently invested further in PTC Creo 3D CAD software to allow us to resource even larger projects. Further investment is planned for 2020 in this busy market…

Composite Structures Update

Matthew Jeffreys, our Divisional Head of Composites, and his team are busy developing optimised lay-ups and materials selection for lightweight aero-engine gas turbine intakes, along with a variety of commercial composite structures based projects. We have a new software tool for composite structures analysis, called MSC APEX. This tool allows us to mesh and optimise composite structures faster and gives us more opportunity to refine our customers designs.
