Composites Engineer
We’re seeking candidates that are highly skilled in the design or analysis of composites. Both would be advantageous.
- Composite Design: Develop components in CAD, define laminates, DfM, produce detailed drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Structural Analysis: Perform linear & non-linear analysis, apply appropriate composite failure criterion, support validation activities.
- Technical Communication: Contribute to internal methods development and knowledge sharing, communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Presentation: Produce clear and concise technical reports, analysis summaries and design justifications, and present work at internal and external reviews.
- Project Management: Plan and deliver work packages, interface with project managers and clients.
- Business Development: Contribute technical input to bids and proposals, visit customer sites and conferences, identify opportunities for follow-on work and new business.
- Continuing Professional Development: Maintain and develop composite knowledge, work towards or maintain professional accreditation, engage in training and industry events.
- Mentoring: Support peer reviews & professional development, spearhead awareness in local STEM programmes at schools and organisations.
