Make UK Defence Office Visit

This month, we welcomed Stuart Tingley, our representative from Make UK Defence, to our office. Make UK Defence are a not-for-profit trade association which plays a key role in supporting businesses across the country like ours to identify new opportunities within the sector.

The session provided a valuable opportunity to discuss how we can further engage with their network, while highlighting the importance of collaboration across the wider UK defence supply chain. Through our membership, we continue to build meaningful connections with other organisations, enabling the exchange of knowledge and creating a platform for building partnerships.

The insight and access it provides have been effective in strengthening our presence across the defence industry.

We are grateful for the continued support from Make UK Defence and look forward to building on these discussions in the future.

Frewer Engineering Joins the D3IP Community

We’re pleased to share that Frewer Engineering has joined the D3IP Community, a collaboration network focused on co-creation and innovation across defence, law enforcement and national security. D3IP brings together challenge owners, industry partners, academia, subject matter experts and wider stakeholders to help develop and test new ideas through collaboration.

We’re excited to get involved and contribute the skills we bring to the consortium, including mechanical and aerospace engineering design, analysis, problem-solving and practical delivery experience across complex technical environments. We look forward to working with the D3IP community, supporting innovation challenges, and collaborating with partners to turn promising ideas into robust, real-world solutions.

Turning Versatile Engineering Skills into Special Project Success

At Frewer Engineering, our service offering is built around a set of strong, flexible pillars that allow us to support customers across a wide range of technical challenges. From concept design and detailed engineering through to analysis, substantiation, problem-solving and project delivery, our teams bring together the skills needed to turn complex requirements into practical, reliable outcomes.

What makes this capability especially valuable is its versatility. Our experience across mechanical and aerospace engineering, combined with our work in sectors such as aeronautical, space, automotive, renewables, naval and nuclear, means we can quickly understand unfamiliar problems and apply the right expertise. Whether a customer needs additional design capacity, independent analysis, technical assurance, or support on a one-off special project, we can adapt our approach to suit the task.

These service pillars give us the confidence to “turn our hand” to broad and varied challenges, as demonstrated by our case studies. By combining trust, initiative and innovation with robust engineering judgement, we help customers move ideas forward, solve problems and deliver successful outcomes on projects of all shapes and sizes.
