Continuing Expansion of the Frewer Engineering Team

We recently welcomed Marshall Stacey to Frewer Engineering, who has joined us as a Lead Design and Analysis Engineer. Marshall brings extensive experience in engineering analysis with a background in both the aerospace and automotive sectors, spanning both metallic and composite structures.

Marshall has already begun contributing to key projects, and his proficiency further strengthens the company’s analysis offering. His engineering knowledge and experience make him a valuable addition to our project delivery team.

We are pleased to welcome Marshall and look forward to seeing his professional growth and project input continue.

A Royal Opening of the Whittle Laboratory

This month, his majesty King Charles III opened the new Whittle Laboratory at the University of Cambridge during the Frank Whittle Summit. The facility houses the National Centre for Propulsion and Power (NCPP), designed to be a world-leading research centre for jet engine technology.

Frewer Engineering is proud to have designed a novel closed-loop vertical test rig for rapid, multi-purpose testing of gas turbine fan, compressor and turbine stages at high pressure and temperature. The rig underpins the facility’s testing capability which is designed to cut the journey from idea to testing at real conditions from years down to weeks. We are proud to be playing our part in that mission, delivering a unique new capability for the UK engineering sector and beyond.

Frewer Engineering Renews JOSCAR Accreditation

We are pleased to confirm that Frewer Engineering has successfully renewed its accreditation with JOSCAR, the register relied upon by the aerospace, defence, space and security sectors for supplier pre-qualification.

The renewal process has once again independently verified our standards in quality management, health and safety, financial stability, environmental responsibility and cyber security.

For our customers, this delivers a clear practical benefit. Buyers and prime contractors are able to access our verified credentials directly through the register, removing the need for extensive supplier questionnaires and enabling projects to progress without unnecessary delay.

We look forward to continuing to support both existing and prospective customers with the same standards of assurance and reliability.

STEM Work Experience

Frewer Engineering is committed to supporting STEM students within the local area. The future of engineering is a positive one, and it will be shaped in large part by the young people currently studying in schools and colleges close to us. This month we welcomed Abi for a week’s work experience…

“I am an A-Level student at Christ’s Hospital School, and I am interested in studying engineering at university. During my week at Frewer Engineering, I have been immersed in working life and introduced to the basics of CAD and FEA.

I completed a design task which was created for me and catered to my interests. Taking my design from concept to final drawings allowed me to experience each stage of a design and analysis cycle, as well as how to present my ideas and justifications.

The whole team at Frewer welcomed me, and I learned a great deal through the discussions had during the week. This opportunity has confirmed to me that the decision to become an engineer is the right one for me.”
